A metal detectorist dug 100 holes on sports pitches across Rugby and the council has had to take them out of use as they are unsafe. Witnesses reported seeing a man with a metal detector digging holes in the pitch at Whinfield Rec between 4.45pm and 5.50pm on Friday, September 26.
