The paid lobbyist working for international dugup antiquities dealers declares once again a belief in American exceptionalism and exclusivity (Peter Tompa, 'Thanks, But No Thanks', Friday, March 28, 2014):
any "emergency" is entirely of Egypt's own making and American collectors, museums and the small businesses of the antiquities and numismatic trade should not be made to pay the price.Meanwhile Wayne Sayles tries to make it personal ("the predictable response from Poland"). Yes, Poland is watching you and drawing conclusions. The whole world is judging what you do and say, and you are not doing the image of the US any favours abroad. Shame on you dealers and collectors.
