Today we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Hague Convention, protecting cultural property during armed conflict, at last by those countries that actually signed it all those years ago. Others are taking some persuading. Note Poland, right up there near the top, and certain other states down near the bottom, or not on the list at all. There are two protocols too.
