Undocumented 'Middle Eastern' Dugups Sold Down-Under

Cerberus Ancient Coins and Antiquities Noarlunga, South Australia, Australia have on offer today a lot of 42 Late Roman and Byzantine copper alloy coins all of which according to the description have a lovely middle east patina. Price: $320.00. Where are they from? What was dug up to get them, and what was dug up with them? When were they dug up and by whom? When and how did they leave the source country and by which route? Is the seller supplying any documentation at all allowing these doubts to be resolved? If he is, he's not saying so.Yet Cerberus will probably be among those dealers who swears blind he's never, ever seen - still less knowingly handled -  any illicitly dug up material from the region of the Middle East.
