Pompous collector: "most archaeologists are so
uninformed about numismatics that they believe the only academic value
in ancient coins is to date an archaeological site [...] Archaeologists are among the least informed about ancient coins". I would say that just about corresponds to what many, if not most, collectors actually know about archaeology. The difference being that archaeology outreaches to collectors, many collectors merely write insultingly about archaeologists.Vignette: Pretty dumb statement.
