Search and take Permits: "Weasil Words is Importint M8"

Some advice  from their peers on how to get a landowner in the UK to give you permission to walk off with collectable artefacts from their land free of charge. Basically "lie about what it is you are doing"(Re: How Do You Guys Find Land?  message by "StubbleGrubber" Mon Aug 01, 2016 8:17 am)
Never say you are looking for anything valuable [such as archaeological artefacts PMB], or use the term "search" - too invasive. "I collect the old silver shillings, and would like to have a quick scout around the field edges" works far better.
With any luck the farmer will not really know what he's signing away. Maybe PAS can have a "Sneakiest Citizen Pocketers" competition for that too.

There seem to be quite a lot of lies involved in UK "metal detecting".
