Britain's Archaeologists Left Lagging Behind

See today's update on this Heritage Action article for a suggestion that it's about time British archaeologists took off their rose-tinted specatcles and put their thinking caps on:
metal detecting technology is leaving the thinking and actions of The Archaeological Establishment far in its wake. Something needs doing.
And who's going to be doing it? The jobsworth establishment archaeologists who pretend everything is under control and there is no problem?  The Portable Antiquities Scheme? Because it seems to me that there can be no doubt to anyone else, that what HA are saying is 100% logical.
