And the SAFE Beacon Award Winners are...

It has just been announced that Professor David Gill is the recipient of the 2012 SAFE Beacon Award. David "has worked tirelessly for decades to shed light on the multiple threats to cultural heritage through teaching, research, publication and the blog Looting Matters". Congratulations David, well deserved and an inspiration to us all.
British archaeologist living and working in Warsaw Poland. Since the early 1990s a primary interest has been research on artefact hunting and collecting and the market in portable antiquities in the international context.
