Focus on Metal Detecting: Fifty Thou'

The UK metal detecting season will soon be coming to a close in many regions as winter-sown crops start to grow and access to the arable fields is limited for ten thousand tekkies who are no doubt trying to make the most of the end of the season. Meanwhile, the Heritage Action Artefact Erosion Counter has just clicked past 50 thousand recordable objects since the last day of last year. The artefact hunters say it's quite wrong, "it's never that many" they say. The PAS are keeping quiet, they recorded  13117 objects in the same time, just a little over one in five. So if it's wrong, by how much would it have to be wrong to make it OK?
