630,822 records within 998,670 objects, Bloomsbury say they are close to a "million" pieces of information about the collector-hoiked past. What is this "information" really about? It's not archaeology, it is not mitigating the erosive damage to a finite and fragile resource, and since it is selective, it is not even fully documenting collecting patterns and habits.
