Paignton Bronze Age copper ingots declared 'treasure'

Herald Express, 'Paignton Bronze Age copper ingots declared 'treasure'..', This is Devon, Thursday, September 26, 2013.

Reporter annoyingly keeps calling them "Treasure Trove" and Torbay Museum curator Barry Chandler has apparently had his head down a hole for fifty years: "There was a whole class of these objects that were practically invisible and suddenly in the last 20 years we have had a lot more appearing". I personally know of at least six Bronze Age hoards found in the early 20th century in SE England which have these "invisible" ingots in them. But by hook or by crook, the advocates of Treasure hunting have to make up an "interesting" story for bread and circuses consumption and this is the best they could do I guess.
