What Would You Ask A Collector?

After her earlier post yesterday about collecting, Dorothy King wants to do a followup

There does however seem to be a gap in the conversation about cultural property and collecting from the collectors' point of view. I wondered if it might be helpful to ask a few  antiquities and ancient coin collectors if they'd be willing to either write a short piece in which they can put across their own point of view about why and how they collect, and answer a few questions about their collections.

Sounds good. And without being nasty, it would be interesting to see some metal detecting collectors among them too as they are very much part of the collecting world.
